Some of the most interesting parts of the books written by Flair and Jericho (and maybe some others I haven't read) is when they talk about that type of thing. Jericho, especially, got into it a good bit, although it was more a match-by-match description than a lengthy chapter about an entire angle.

I also remember ESPN's E:60 did a piece on the WWE that tried to get into that. They said in the piece that Vince let them film a few things, but it was pretty limited.

I stand corrected on my previous assessment. I gave it another chance, and I'm loving it. Probably because of the vintage [/michaelcole] footage, but once I got the hang of the controls the gameplay hasn't been too bad since.

"May I have your attention please? I have just received an e-mail from the anonymous commissioner of the Department of Corrections in Maine!"

"And I quote. Just like the warden. I believe in two things: discipline and the Bible. Here you'll receive both. Put your trust in the Lord; your ass belongs to me. Welcome to Shawshank.

Do you all understand that? Or am I being obtuse?"

  5. I could probably watch that movie every day for the rest of my life and not grow tired of it . . . and it appears as if TNT is out to prove it can be done. :)

OK, I don't want to hear another person bitch about Vince Russo attacking JR with the Oklahoma character...

Why is Lawler v. Cole the most developed storyline on the entire 'Mania card?

Beats the heck out of me.

I'm rooting for Cole to discuss Lawler's ex-wives next week.

Otherwise, we have dueling satellite promos for Cena/Miz/Rock and nothing special promos with Trips and Taker. That's it.

And I betcha Punk will interfere in Orton/Mysterio tonight. Very predictable.

It's like they're mailing in the buildup this year because they don't want physical confrontations.

I'll take back part of my last statement. That Taker/Trips video package was very well done.

But still, it seems to me that tonight's show has lacked intensity so far, except for the Cole/Lawler segment.

It does kind of feel like they are just phoning it in. "It's Cena/Rock! Undertaker/HHH! This stuff sells itself, who needs a story?"
