Crean has never impressed me with his in-game coaching. He's a great recruiter who needs horses to excel because he doesn't teach the game very well. Witness Cody Zeller's footwork. Witness the overall defense.

Defense is constant. Effort, positioning, etc. It can be there when all other aspects have faltered,. It can be there on the road when you need a stop in front of a loud crowd.

Crean's system relies on the shots to fall every night.

and for another year, the '76 Hoosiers can say they are the last team to go unbeaten. Will we ever see another? Also, will we ever see another team go unbeaten in B1G play (something that also has not happened since 1976)?

If y'all want, we can go ahead and hand Louisville the NCAA title and shut this thread down early.
I realize Tubby's got 'em going in Minneapolis and the big boys are still plodding along at Duke, Indiana, Michigan, and Kansas.
But I'm convinced now that Pitino's horses will win it all this spring.
The whooping they put on UConn tonight was definitive and fun to watch.
My, what talent, swagger and confidence the Cards are showcasing this season.

Baylor made 13 field goals at Kansas tonight.

    Kansas blocked 13 shots.

Knew that was coming. So did O'Neill. He sold his freaking house in LA last year and commuted from San Diego!

I had a couple of pressers with KO and they were hilarious. However, except for Marquette, he has left every place worse than he found it.

UConn is as good as ever this season, so this is a good take.

Possibly, but beware of Butler. Stevens, the most underrated coach in the country, uses the regular season as a tourney warm-up and his club can adapt to any style in the nation. You want to score, they can score. You want to garbage it up (see Wisconsin, Pitt), they'll get dirty.
The Bulldogs got another strong team, maybe their best in the Stevens' era. It wouldn't shock me to see them in the title game.

Again, Crean fourth or fifth-best coach in Big Ten.

Expectations for IU are top-three in Big Ten, and Sweet 16. This is not unreasonable.

They're just not tough right now. They can be punched in the face. Got two months to fix that.
