Kansas scored 28 points in the final 10 minutes to make their score a little more respectable, but they still lost to a terrible team.

According to Jerry Palm via Twitter, KU's loss tonight was the biggest upset in terms of RPI difference between the teams in the 20 years he's been tracking those numbers.

My wife went to UVa. I went to KU. Tonight we are debating which one had the worst, most inexplicable loss of the season. I knew KU had some issues, but I really didn't think losing to TCU was even a possibility.

Your wife wins, as usual. Old Dominion's only other victory this season was at home against Morgan State, which won't finish .500 in the MEAC.

Last year Florida went into Fayetteville and drilled them by 30.

Then there is TCU, which had no business at all beating the BBOC.

So I join you in ignorance. This season is nuts. That's what happens when the best college players are in their third NBA season now.

I don't hate the unpredictability of college basketball. Not sure why anyone would. Maybe Duke fans.

I don't know why the RPI only goes to No. 68 other than that's the number of teams in the tournament. You can whack off at least the bottom 15-20 for low-major automatics.

(EDIT: Oh, duh, I have to click for Nos. 69+.)

I would think you would dislike how hard it is to gamble on.

That's fair, because it really does make it difficult. However, I'm not betting my mortgage or anything, so....it's not a huge deal.

Teasers have become my best friend during this unpredictable season. When in doubt, bet the underdog and move the line 4 points.

Carolina gets whacked by 30 and Duke gets whacked by 30 and Kansas gets whacked by 30 and Florida gets whacked by 30 ... when's the last time the historical best of the best have been whacked so much in one season? (Florida has become elite the last 10-12 years which is why I added them to this list.)

All of a sudden Miami is king of the ACC.

    One of the stranger seasons.

Yesterday was Kansas' biggest loss of the season, and it was by 7 points. That doesn't dispute the fact that it's been a strange season, but they didn't get whacked by 30.

When did Kansas and Florida lose by 30?
