Agreed. Iowa's OOC is craptastic. Their B10 schedule was front-loaded with good teams and these last seven games are against bad teams, home against mid-level teams and at Indiana. One automatic loss but two Nebraskas, one Penn State and home against Illinois, Minnesota and Purdue.

But if they finish ahead of Illinois in the Big Ten and let's say they each win their opener and lose their second game of B10 tournament... do you take Illinois because of their high quality wins earlier?

Yes. And anyone involved in predicting brackets would tell you so.

Iowa lost to Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech is a bad basketball team.

Sorry Forde, but Stern works for the owners. If Noel was going to get hurt regardless - supposing that he was prone to this injury for the sake of this argument - then this actually helps the owners because one of them won't be on the hook for a big contract for this kid who may be a shell of his former self post injury. It sure does suck for the kid, though.

In this light, the rule worked in the owners' favor. So, basically, Stern was doing his job.

The NBA should go to the same draft rule as Major League Baseball.

Every high school senior is draft eligible.

If you aren't drafted coming out of high school you aren't eligible again until after your junior year of college. JUCO players can be drafted after two years. If you don't get drafted in either of those scenarios you're still college-eligible as long as you don't sign with an agent.

Eliminates one-and-dones and every kid knows what his draft status is before he starts college.

That's way too smart to ever work.
