Saw one mock bracket that had Miami a 1 seed and VCU in the 8-9 game right below it. Boy, that'd be all kinds of juicy.

If you're going to be outliers who are at best tolerated, at least be paid better for it.

Coach K is still a whiny bitch.

Maryland has been in the ACC for 50 years and is still generally treated as an expansion team. I've been a Terp fan and alumn for 30+ years have come to the same conclusion, if they are going to treat you like a step child, get paid.

Duke is a one coach operation, when K is gone, Duke becomes just another school with history and the ACC is just another conference with 4-5 teams in the March Tourney. And the 4th conference in football, well behind the SEC, BIG10 and PAC10

5th. Oklahoma has more tradition than any ACC school, never mind the rest of the Big XII

Iowa got down 18-5 to Minnesota and has outscored the Gophers 50-20 since. Goldy's crew has 12 field goals and 14 turnovers with seven minutes left in the game.

Tellin ya... Iowa could make the tourney.

Two vs Nebraska, home vs Purdue and Illinois and at Indiana.

    4 of 5 gets them to 10-8.

Iowa is athletic enough where they can't get blown out. They are also weak enough on shooting where they don't blow too many others out.

They'll beat Purdue and Illinois, scare the hell out of Indiana ... and lose twice to Nebraska on last-second shots. That's the way they roll.

According to the what they said on the broadcast today they've got three wins over Top 50 RPI teams. Of course the best RPI team they've beaten is the one they beat today.

Most bizarre finish to a game I've seen this season. Illinois State's Jackie "Chan" Carmichael loses his mind.

WSU scored the last eight points of the game and won. The karate loomed large.

Because I didn't have anything better to do, and it was the only game on at the time (besides the NBA exhibition), I watched what turned out to be a very entertaining CAA game last night between James Madison and Delaware.

JMU won it 72-71 on an in-bounds alley-oop with 1.0 seconds on the clock. Guy inbounding from under the basket (actually just to the right of it) lobbed it over the backboard, nobody from Delaware blocked out the guy coming down the lane and he dunked it for the game-winner. Unreal.

Notre Dame has 3 points as they go to the under 8 timeout against Pitt. They're still in the game, though, because Pitt only has 15.
