All I know is I was looking for a top of the line PG in this year's draft, I wouldn't like any of my options.

Vols over aTm in 4 OTs for their fifth straight.

No you haven't. He's not that good. Great defensive play but still needs work on offense.

Syracuse is missing something this season. They have great pieces and have been playing well defensively, but something is not clicking on offense. I don't think I've ever seen a team miss so many dunks this season. They try to force it everywhere, and Carter-Williams is not as equipped to run the floor as Triche is.
Plus it didn't help that Southerland and Coleman missed significant playing time.

As wretched as the SEC is, at least it was entertaining for a day. Three games with a combined eight OT periods.

Hawks moved a step closer to a first round NIT loss at Kentucky today.

Gotta love the pundits who are already saying Kentucky's win today is enough to bolster their resume. I don't see it. They shouldn't have gone to overtime -- at home, no less -- against a not-so-great Mizzou squad.

Gee, they finally beat SOMEBODY . . . more accurately, Pressey and the Gagsters coughed up another one . . . hell, yes, there's talent, there, but they don't get mulligans, and an early exit from the tourney would be a blessing and an object lesson -- IF they even make it.

This year's draft prospects are beyond horrendous, no two ways about it.

Re Kentucky: A win over an experienced, tournament-bound team without your best player is nothing to look down your nose at, even if they're not Indiana or Michigan State. They might need to make some noise at the SEC tournament, but it's a good start.

Meanwhile, St. Louis is the trendy non-Big 6 pick for a long run in March, and having watched parts of their beatdown of VCU and win at Butler, I certainly understand it. Makes you wonder how on God's green earth they managed to lose at home to Rhode Island, but everyone has their blemishes.

As I will now step away from the keyboard on anything Iowa basketball related for 11 months. :)

Calling this right now: Virginia beats Duke on Thursday, turns around and loses to Boston College on Sunday. So it is written. So it is done.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit. I'll add that if it comes true, Jontel Evans will have at least five turnovers against BC.
