We could have a Final Four this year of Gonzaga, Butler, Colorado State and Denver.

    Good.

Gonzaga would thus finally justify the excess love that 1999 Elite Eight run continues to give them.

They were already in -- but definitely now. Ralphie wins on the Farm.

And what the hell has happened to Stanford basketball? That place was 40 percent filled.

Agreed. Bizarre enough that it happened in one power conference, but three? That's amazing. It's one thing to see this happen in a conference where the champ might be anywhere from a No. 12 to a No. 16 seed. But two of those teams are in the discussion for No. 1 seeds right now, and the other is clearly building some late-season momentum for it.

It seems like I often find myself wondering the same thing about most of the Pac-12.

Well, Colorado is a GREAT on-site experience, but that's only in the last couple of years because of Boyle. Oregon, too. Arizona is old school but still a great experience. The rest? Yeah, it's lacking.

Ah, I misunderstood that you were talking about arena atmosphere. I was talking about the state of the programs. It seems like there are a bunch of Pac-12 teams that have had success relatively recently that are mediocre right now.

I wonder how much Adidas would pay me for my great new invention: color-safe bleach?

Can Maryland win the NIT this year?

Bruce Pearl and Jason Williams are a good combo. They play off each other well.

Williams refuses to acknowledge Gonzaga as a No. 1 seed.
