To be fair, every "good" team has been dicey all season.

Based on the evidence so far, nobody will win the tournament this year, putting enormous stress on Jim Nantz's powers of creativity.

    Saturday's schedule...

    Butler at VCU, noon, ESPN2
    Louisville at Syracuse, noon, CBS
Notre Dame at Marquette, 2 p.m., ESPN
George Mason at Delaware, 2 p.m., NBCN
Miami at Duke, 6 p.m., ESPN

Sure, none of those games MEAN ANYTHING!!!!, but that's a pretty good slate of games.

Coach K will coach for an extra 10 years to put the Wahoos in their place for that. Save the date for the Dec. 1, 2025 Dan Patrick Show, when K will regale listeners with how Harris played 132 minutes in a blowout, thus motivating K to win for 10 more years.

Also, it's a shame Harris's dad was staying with him last night. After the game he had, the whole sexual menu should have been available to him. Hard to bring four girls back to your place for an orgy when you have to sneak them past Pops on the couch.

Then again, they're U.Va. girls. It wouldn't have been all that awesome. :)

More on Coach K's whining...this wasn't enough security to protect his precious angels after the game.

So Virginia loses to Old Dominion (RPI: 323) and beats Duke (RPI: 1).

    That's pretty incredible.

I feel like I'm starting a shit storm by saying this, and understand that I don't really like the man, but:

    I think he's right.

    It's out of hand.

In a big-picture sense, I agree with you, Dick. Something bad is going to happen one of these days in a court-storming. But K claiming that his players were in danger last night...BULL. SHIT. I've never seen more security on a basketball court.

He's just trying to deflect the conversation to something other than his team losing.

K's got a point, but what are you going to do that they didn't do? That cordon of security looks pretty damn secure to me. Besides, I'll give K's point more consideration when Duke sends me that apology letter for the students throwing pennies at and spitting on me on press row (because I was from an "opposition" paper) in 1987. Yeah, good message by the absolute wrong messenger.

But, like I said, it's ridiculous. Penn State storming the court after beating Michigan? I guess I get it. Maybe. But home conference upsets in college basketball are barely upsets, right? Indiana barely ever wins at Minnesota. And after last night, UVa. is 10-5 in the ACC and Duke is 11-4. Wow. One for the ages.
