I missed the inside joke but still realized Dick Whitman was joking.

 

Coach K is just pissed because it's happened to him three times this year. It's ACC basketball. Miami's on top of the league, for God's sake. It's not your average season. That goes for all over the country.

My hatred of the Dookies goes all the way back to the UNLV/Michigan era, but I've found coach K to be decent most of the time. He just sounds whiny here.

 

VCU-Butler is liking watching varsity vs. JV. Rams up by 21 late in the first half.

 

Does the MVC award its champ with marbles? ESPN announcer has told me three times this Wichita St.-Creighton game is for "all the marbles."

 

That's why this announcer is on the WSU-Creighton game.

Ben McLemore scored 36 points on only 15 field goal attempts. Broke freshman single-game scoring record at Kansas, previously held by Danny Manning. Sat game's final 5:21. Shot 12 for 15 overall, 5 for 6 on 3s, 7 for 9 from the foul line. Third time he's scored 30-plus points in conference play. So much fun to watch.

 

I have not seen anything like the way VCU applies pressure on D. They make a lot of very good teams look very bad.

 

Yeah, that kid is going to get his family out of an extreme poverty situation this summer, maybe as the No. 1 pick. Man, if he had been eligible for the national runners up last year...


The dude definitely plays better in Allen Fieldhouse though.

I flipped it to the Baylor-K-State game and my wife was absolutely convinced something was wrong with our TV. After I showed her the color settings were all right she made me change the channel.

 

It was like watching the rest of the Big 8 trying to deal with the 1988 Sooners. The Sooner team led by Alvin Adams.
