    So he's no different than every other head coach in college basketball.

    Greatest moments in Gonzaga men's basketball history:

    1. 1999 Elite Eight run
    2. Adam Morrison being drafted third overall in 2006
    3. Being ranked No. 1 in both polls in 2013
    4. John Stockton becoming the NBA's assists and steals career leader

    Mark Few has done a nice job keeping the program going but hasn't broken much new ground. He took over after Dan Monson's Elite Eight run, went to two Sweet 16s right off the bat, had the Adam Morrison team that went to a Sweet 16 and the Matt Bouldin team that went to another, and now has a No. 1 ranking. Without at least an Elite Eight, though, it won't mean much.

    Kentucky was ranked eighth at the time, and it was at Rupp, so I can see where they're coming from.

    Why does it matter what Kentucky was ranked at the time? Its performance since has proven it was not that good then.

    ESPN probably means "quality win" in the context of the RPI, as the tournament committee uses the phrase. Kentucky was in the top 50 yesterday (though the Baylor loss plus whatever else happened last night dropped them to 51).

    I was just pointing it out. I hate Kentucky as much as the next fella ...

    I don't hate Kentucky. Just saying early season rankings are often meaningless. The season sorts out where teams belong.

    Apparently D.J. Cooper of Ohio just became the first player in D-I history with 2,000 points, 900 assists, 600 rebounds and 300 steals.

    @1tomvalentino: 2,000 points, 900 assists, 600 rebounds, 300 steals. Only 1 player in NCAA Division I history. Congratulations, @Djcoop5

    Don't recall who originally posted that Ole Miss would shit the bed after beating Kentucky but I got a kick out of this tweet from Ron Higgins a few minutes ago:

    Very disappointing performance by the Hoosiers. Choking their way into a tie for the conference title, and out of the Midwest top seed.
