The opening graphs could not have been worse.

"This, then, is really stupid and overly dramatic construction."

And its note that MSG is the biggest sports stage in the world? In 2013? It is to laugh.

Great quotes throughout, though. Just think Dana O'Neil brings a special brand of hackery.

I can't stand stories praising the old white men for doing things to make the young black men great anymore. I'm swearing them off, aside from the ones I have to read for work.

The lead was bad even without that personal bias, though. I had no interest in the story anyway because fuck that conference, but I generally think Dana O'Neil is pretty good and figured since it got linked here the story might be. Then the lead sucked. Then it devolved into oral history. Fuck that shit.

Cincinnati playing as bad as they look against Georgetown.

    Those are absolutely hideous.

Cashmere Wright is the most hot/cold player in the country.

    Any relation to Les?

Anyone see what happened at the end of the Richmond-Charlotte game?

So Richmond led Charlotte by 3 with five seconds to play and lost by 5. Charlotte made 8-of-10 free throws in the last five seconds. Awesome.

Those uniforms weren't half as atrocious as what Notre Dame wore Wednesday night as socks . . . or were they leggings?

Rumors are that KU, Baylor, Michigan and Louisville will be doing this krap this week too.

    Ye Gods.

Fortunately for KU, it gets to wear white throughout the BIg 12 tourney. The white's aren't quite as bad. Not quite.

Follow the money. That's the reason conferences have tournaments. If the tournament didn't make money, then there'd be a push to get rid of it.

Conferences could do like the old SWC did for a time and give the regular-season champion a bye to the final.

Just finished watching Kent State rally to knock off Buffalo in the MAC Tournament. If you have not seen Kent's Chris Evans yet, you are missing out. One of the most underrated players in the country.
