Isn't the rule four TV breaks per half, at deadballs after 16, 12, 8 and 4? If you get a long stretch of uninterrupted play, they have to double up later on, like the NFL and NHL?

Given the absurd amount of money they pay, I guess they have to make it back somehow.

Louisville looks like the 1979 Pirates with this short/shirt combination.

Same in 1985. First year field expanded to 64 teams. Kentucky was coming off a Final Four season, but was 16-12 and people complaining they didn't deserve a spot.

A friend who was a UK student at the time said "Yeah, but they can beat any team from west of the Mississippi River.... with their hands tied behind their backs." Which they did, upsetting Washington and UNLV to reach the Sweet 16 before losing to St. John's in Denver.

Who the fuck cares what happened in 1985? They don't deserve a spot in the tourney, plain and simple.

You know, I'm sure some talking head will come up with this before the week is over, but...

I wonder how many national championship teams in, say, the past 30 years have won their conference tournaments? How many Final Four teams?

I never advocate not playing to win, but if I lost early, I wouldnt worry much about it unless I just played horrible in the process.

Louisville is losing because of the sleeves.

which is idiotic considering the sticking point is that if they let Louisville and Rutgers go a year early the ACC and B1G will have uneven divisions in football. No one stopped to think that if they just let Maryland go a year early too it all works itself out.

Can't wait for the explanation when Duke, which split with Miami and got destroyed by them in Coral Gables, lost in the ACC quarters and didn't win the regular season title, winds up with a better seed than the Canes.

Not that it matters all that much in thegrand scheme of things, but who are your top seeds?

I think Louisville played itself out and Kansas played itself in on Saturday. So, I'll go with (in no particular order), Duke (east), Indiana (south), Kansas (midwest) and, what the hell, Gonzaga (west).

This game is killing me. Killing me. Triche and Siva are awful. Southerland's absence is huge.

You realize Louisville is still playing tonight, right?
