  1. These late start times are terrible on the East coast.

thank ESPN for that, because of the European soccer. Usually the games are 1 and 6 CST

The games are on ESPN2. Soccer has routinely been on ESPN. Did they not want the two to conflict or something?

FSU never was the same after the one runner got thrown our on an apparent hit-and-run play.

  5. For whatever reason, that really never crossed my mind. I'm actually OK with having to stay up a little later to watch baseball if it means I get to watch more EURO.

Dang program's routinely had tough, tough luck after advancing to Omaha.
That's almost surely got to be the most CWS berths without a title.
They will need a comeback to secure a title this time.

Coming to Omaha as an 8-seed, despite back-to-back NCAA titles, it is astounding how well Ray Tanner has molded his South Carolina program.
They have awesome pitching and hitting. What a balanced team.
Even compared to a Florida team that you look at and swear is top-line and capable.
This South Carolina program is as good as you will find, I really think.
Extremely well-coached and the players seem to all buy in.

Starting today, there are two Euro matches played simultaneously as they finish the final rounds of the group stage.

This is 22 straight now, NCAA tournament wins after tonight's win over Fla.

South Carolina has been sensational over the past three or four seasons.

The mic'd umpire in today's runaway win by FSU over Stony Brook is unnecessary.

How many "BALL!" or "STRIKE!" calls does it take before it gets old?

The mic'd ump for the Arizona-UCLA game was pretty entertaining. He had no idea what the strike zone should be, but he was entertaining.
His strike zone produced one of the best-pitched games in CWS history by UofA righty Connor Wade. He was outstanding, blanking a good-hitting Bruins team on five hits.

    That ump was hilarious.
