I will continue with what I was going to post:

    1. I love Adele.
    2. I think she's beautiful. Not "beautiful for a big girl" or "beautiful for a Brit." Just ... beautiful.
    3. When did she become Drew Barrymore's doppelganger?

Adele can sing. Seriously. No studio tricks .. she's on pitch, she's not pushing, solid technique. I am seriously impressed.

Adele is really good. Amy Winehouse, when she wasn't messed up, was better.

This is what music is supposed to be. No flashy lights, no techno beat, no autotune. Just a woman and a mic, singing her heart out.

I never found a single Winehouse song I enjoyed.

Oh, I think "Rehab" was a very good song. Adele's nailed three better on this album.

To defend my Adele comment, it always annoyed the shit out of me that Winehouse rarely completely pronounced words. She'd sing half the word and then trail off. Like I was supposed to recognize it as some bluesy, souly masterpiece. To me, it was lazy.

Can someone please explain Adele's popularity to me? I'm serious here.

In all sincerity, if that performance didn't explain it, nothing will.
