Has to be tough to not out-Whitney Whitney on this song.

    No.

    No mention of her.

Houston was Hudson's idol. That's all I've heard.

That said, I think she's stunning here.

She doesn't have to worry about out-Whitneying her after that note.

They should have put together a montage of Whitney herself. That was lovely but disappointing.

Chris Brown is impressed that Glen Campbell was able to beat Tanya Tucker all those times and still get a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

I think they could have at least hummed a few bars of "Lonely Boy" in memory of Andrew Gold.

Very very good. Nothing too over the top.

I've said this 1,000 times, and will say it 1,000 times more...

Whitney's version of that song was no comparison to Dolly's version. Maybe because I grew up with Dolly's version and understood the simple real-life meaning of the song.

And Jennifer couldn't even come close to Whitney's version.

And I know Dolly doesn't mind because she's made millions from the royalties from Whitney making that a pop megahit.

On a side note, I once held a Grammy.

Sitting in a bar in Westport, Ireland.

I didn't hear Dolly's version until Whitney and Costner were dancing to it. I hated every second of it. The pacing, the whole thing. Just ... gross.
