If a no-hitter happens on the West Coast, does anybody really know? It's like a tree falling in the woods.

Congratulations, Jered Weaver. Unfortunately, instead of "Weaver pitches no-hitter" our paper says "Minnesota at L.A. Angels, late"

Sadly, it will probably say it here, one time zone away in a game that ended before 11 p.m. MDT. I guess the good news is that there's still a newspaper here.

At least you didn't bother to deny that you are trolling. Nobody with half a clue could actually be foolish enough to post like you do. What players do other seasons is irrelevant to the MVP. Nothing has changed the fact that Joe Mauer was by far the most valuable player in the American League in 2009.

By the way, as a point of fact, not a single first baseman in MLB hit .320 with 34 home runs in 2011. Some hit more home runs. Some hit for a higher average. Nobody reached both.

You think Jeter should win every year because you are both a ridiculous fanboy and a troll, thus making your opinion one more thing that is irrelevant.

It might have been a perfect game with Mathis. Weaver lost the perfecto in the 3rd on a strikeout-passed ball. There was also a walk in the seventh, but who knows?

I've never seen so much hype for a shortstop on a fourth place team with a shitty pitching staff.

If only they could hit. Last night was a step in the right direction, though. Still, running Xavier Nady out there a couple times a week just ain't gonna get it done. I hope DeRosa stays on the DL for the rest of his awful career. And Espinosa has until Zimmerman gets back to show something at the plate. If not, I'd sit him right on his ass and throw Lombo in there at second.

I'm guessing Harper moves up to 5th in the lineup tonight.

But at every position the Nats have a guy who should hit 20 home runs. Catcher and centerfield are the only spots they have players who would be reaching to hit 20.

    To me, that's pretty impressive.

Ramos hit 15 last year. Twenty is not a reach for him.

With a healthy Morse, a healthy Zimmerman and LaRoche continuing as he has, yeah, that's a scary lineup. Starting pitching is top notch. Bullpen needs Storen back.

Harper is fun to watch. And that dude was out at the plate Tuesday night.
