Of course, her favorite players are Nick Bunto and Joe Softie.

May as well get the headlines written in advance for the next few weeks, with prep playoffs staring in a couple of weeks: "Giants (win/lose) 2-1."

Clearly Davey Johnson reads me, because Bryce Harper is hitting third tonight.

In a complete 180 from their game last night, Joe Blanton throws 88 pitches in a complete-game three-hit 4-0 shutout of the Braves. Game was done in a tidy 2:02. Decent start by Randall Delgado too, eight innings, two runs, six hits.

Just imagine how much better and stronger this kid will be in five years, when he will still be a few years away from his prime.

Goofball, dickhead, flake or whatever he is, this kid is sort of like watching Bo Jackson again. Sort of, not totally.

The Orioles are 16-9, which is somewhat mind blowing. Three games in Boston then series with Texas and Tampa Bay next week. Come out of that stretch OK, and I might actually convince myself to believe in this group.

With today's (so far) blanking, the Giants have now gone five games in a row without scoring in the first five innings.

False on B. That's a tribute to spnited. I have no feelings either way for Mauer.

I have a feeling that this might be Espinosa's last season in Washington for the sole fact that his swing is absolutely horrible. His glove is fine, but he does not offer the production that the Nationals need for that line up.

Not like I can talk, my 2B is Daniel Murphy, who does not give the Mets any power numbers.

Does the possible end of Mariano Rivera's career warrant its own thread?

Report I heard said he was smiling when he was being carted off, so I'm hoping (desperately) it's not as bad as it looked. That said, he might want to lay off shagging fly balls for awhile.
