Someone ask Tony LaRussa. He wrote the damn thing, after all.

They drilled Cole, right? They didn't drill Pence or another hitter, so I am guessing Cole was acting on his own with that plunking.

If that was ordered from the dugout, you bean a like hitter, which would be Pence.

That's the way I understood beaning.

Oh, and Cole meant to hit him.

But how would the Nats know if Hamels was in business for himself with the plunking?

And if Hamels was popped on purpose by Zimmerman, it was aimed at a lot nastier a spot than the one Hamels sent Harper's way.

Hammels should have thought about that before he threw at Bryce.

Well, if that's the game we're playing, then I suppose Zimmerman's got one coming his way at some point in the future, huh?

Not sure I agree with hitter's lower back = pitcher's legs.

I think there is more chatter on the field than people think. If I am a Nats player, I would ask what the fuck was Harper about. They would say who did it, or a Philly batter could come up to hit and just say to the catcher "That was all Cole."

Oh, damn. That didn't look good for Werth.

Oh, the whole concept is stupid. But Hammels started it. And now it appears over.

Looks like Werth broke that wrist.

And IIRC, that's a wrist he had all kinds of problems with while he was a Dodger.

Harper can now buy property in DC. He isn't going anywhere.
