Another meaningless stat from the Cubs-Dodgers game, according to Eric Collins and Steve Lyons:
A major league record was set when the Dodgers fouled off 33 of the 100 pitches delivered by Travis Wood.
I expect all of you statheads to be running around in circles and jumping up and down.

Mike Rizzo calls Hammels the opposite of old school, and says it was a chicken shit fucking act. His words.

    Point, Rizzo.

Gotta say, though his presence and appearance reek of douche, the kid plays the game right.

Harper comes out looking a lot more old school and tough than Hamels.

Honestly, Harper has done a lot of growing up this season. He plays the game smart, and is apparently smart enough to listen to some of his teammates about how the need to grow up. Last year he was a douche. In the off season he was a douche. But he's fixing that now. I can't say a single bad thing about him now.

I don't agree with what Hamels did, but at least he owned up to it. Unlike chickenshit pathological liar Roger Clemens.

I like Cole but if he really wants to be old school, he should know the answer is always: "I was trying to get the ball in on his hands and it got away from me."
