Yeah. I've read today that Bourjos has great speed and can be a thread on the bases. With the way he's hitting, maybe the Nats can get him cheap. If they really want him.

If you get Bourjos, you are getting the defense, he'll run down balls you didn't think were possible. Can he hit? Not sure. I do know 62 PA isn't much of a sample.

Nats have guys who can run down balls you didn't think were possible. Couldn't hurt to have another, I suppose.

He can hit just fine. The sample is small and the peripherals are still there.

Bourjos only has 52 at-bats this season, but you also have nearly a full 2011 season from him to look at as well.

Lombardozzi only has the 61 at-bats so far this season, which is far too few to make any real conclusions. Enough to be worth giving him a shot, but only if they are going to send Espinosa down and get him full-time at bats in the minors.

Desmond has a .284 on-base percentage so far this season. Last year, over a full season, it was .298. In almost a full 2010 season, his on-base was .308. Those numbers are truly horrendous for a leadoff batter.

    A plea to Girardi:

Now would be a good time to give Jetes a day off to recharge.

He is the oldest starter in the Yankee lineup and has pretty much carried their offense through the first 1/5th of the season (with an assist from the Grandy Man).

Espinosa just blasted one and I swear I heard him say "fuck you Sonner" as the ball flew out of sight. Honest

Did Nick Johnson really hit a two-run homer to give Baltimore the lead and put the O's back in first, or did I imagine that?

What happened to C.J. Wilson tonight? He came out in the first after giving up a trio of infield singles.
