If Ramos plays again this year, I'll be surprised. The Ramos we've seen and the Flores of 2008 are pretty similar actually. If Flores is close to that after all he's been through, the Nats will be OK. But the injuries that have been piling up for the Nats? Staggering.

Are they calling Sandy Leon up today to replace Ramos? That kid is stunning defensively.

    Yes.
Ramos has a torn ACL in his right knee. See you next year.

Who's next to go on the DL for the Nationals?

    Harper 7/2
    Desmond 5/1
    Espinosa 8/1
    Strasburg 12/1
    Clippard 18/1

Strasburg is a steal at those numbers.

Harper may be immune - given the Nats and injuries, you'd think that bat thing would have put him out for the year. But no, he was out there the next day.

The kid reminds of Benito Santiago, with the arm.

Interesting Ken Rosenthal piece on how Mike Trout slipped all the way to the No. 25 in the 2009 draft (incidentally, the Angels got him with the compensation pick they were awarded for losing Mark Teixeira):

BTW, the Braves continue to play great baseball relatively under the radar, with a sweep of the Cards.
