If Joey Votto hits three home runs, including a walk-off grand slam, but there's no one in the stadium to see it, did it really happen?

    I say no.

I checked the standings this a.m. It did.
Harper never saw a fly ball an inning earlier. Rodriguez couldn't throw a strike. The Nats earned every inch of that loss.

"The inevitably underrated Jordan Zimmerman has a Smoltz-ian no. 2 air about him."

    Moddy no likey.

I don't know what "no likey" means but if someone has reported on Zimmermann the pitcher and used one n, it is sloppy work not worth my time or anyone else's because they obviously don't care about the details. Anyone fact check with a roster?

I guess that means I don't like it.

That's a good guess, Moddy. You're getting much better at the Guess The Phrase That All The Crazy Kids Are Using These Days Even Though It's Fairly Obvious game.

What happens if, as expected, the DC area gets a couple inches of rain the next two days? San Diego flying back here on a mutual off day for a doubleheader?

To be made up later if it is a factor in the race - which it won't be for either team.

Is Cincinnati really drawing that poorly? I'll be there first weekend in June during interleague play.

I already got tickets for Friday and Saturday, but if they are drawing that poorly maybe I can "improve" my seats.

I'd like to find a good guide to which ballparks are easy to "improve" the seats.

There's nothing I like better than getting down behind the plate and watching the pitches. But you risk getting embarrassed if you try it in the wrong ballpark.
