Could it be the same thing that happened to L.A. TV news reporter Serene Branson a year or so ago.

Just read the story on ESPN. Said it was a "trace" amount and didn't know how it got in his system ...

    Yeah, right.

If you get a chance to see the bottom of the 9th of Braves at Yankees, you'll never see a more dominant inning than the one posted by Craig Kimbrel. He struck out Jeter and Granderson with 99 mph fastballs in on the hands, mixing in a tight 86-mph slider. The only pitch anyone made contact with was a weak pop-up back of first by A-Rod for the final out.

Kerry Wood says don't call me when you're in my town. Call me when you're on my street.

    Indeed.

What I liked best was his sequence: He threw three straight fastballs to Jeter, who never came close to making contact. Then he threw a nasty first-pitch slider inside for a called strike to Granderson, who was clearly looking fastball and whose jaw just about dropped when it moved. Then he threw another slider, which Granderson just watched and almost smiled at. And then Granderson had NO idea what was coming for the third pitch -- a 99 mph fastball that he didn't come close to touching. A-Rod seemed to have a slightly better idea what was coming, or at least didn't look quite as surprised as the other two guys. But it didn't help him any.

    Pure dominance.

Kimbrel is good, and his stuff is electric. That slider is wicked.

That reminds me a lot of that female TV reporter a year or two ago.

The audio cuts off, but does anyone know what ended up happening? Did he leave the air? Just snap back to normal?

It seems like a Rays pitcher was cheating tonight in Washington.

    Just saw that.

Ejected for having a "foreign substance on his glove" ...

In the words of Gaylord Perry "Vaseline is not a foreign substance. It's made in the United States of America."

He's trying to do it again. 3-for-3 in the fourth, with the single, double, and just now, the home run.

EDIT: Whoops ... 2-for-2 with a double, sac fly, HR and intentional walk. It's an 8-8 slugfest in the bottom of the fifth right now.

And Ichiro reaches 2,500 hits. Pretty impressive.
