Braun's legal team built a successful case on a very narrow argument that, indeed, the sample was not strictly handled according to collective bargaining rules. They did nothing to contest or dispel the FACT that Braun is a juicing cheater.

That is not a fact. That is your opinion based on very strong evidence. There is a difference, though far too many people on this site don't seem to be able to make the distinction.

And if you don't think Braun contested the assertion that he cheated, you just weren't paying attention at all. His legal team's job was to deal with the suspension. His was to do what he could to clear his name, which is the truly impossible task. Even if MLB didn't fight the arbitrator's ruling, and then fire him for doing his job, Braun's name is tainted forever regardless of his guilt or innocence.

Point taken. According to one report in the Denver Post, the surgery will be to remove scar tissue from a nerve in his groin and he is expected to be out at least six weeks after the procedure.

    I had the same question.

While I disagree with playing the Mets twice, I understand it. The Cub/Sox do the same thing. I'd prefer it be one series, every three years, like it's supposed to be.

But, why did they play the Braves in two series? Makes no sense.

And Moddy, please stay out of Yankee Stadium for the rest of the year.

No it doesn't. Usually each team plays one team home-and-home, not two.

And you're a fucking fool if you believe synthetic testosterone can magically appear in a container sealed in Braun's presence and was still sealed and not tampered when it arrived at the lab. Even Braun's mouthpiece didn't dispute that at the hearing.

    From ESPN:

And with the realignment coming, it looks like Interleague is going to be a year-round thing:

I know they're going All Interleague All The Time next year but I don't recall teams playing more than one team home-and-home in the past.

Sorry, but you pissed away your credibility on this topic with years of accusations of cheating against players whose only real crime was playing well for a team you don't like. The only fools are the people who take anything you say on the topic seriously.

not incredibly unlikely, pretty much a fuckin lock. someone messed up so guilty becomes innocent. it's like a guy getting pulled over with a kilo of coke where the cop didn't have a search warrant or the driver didn't give permission to search. guy is guilty as the day is long but a mistake was made so he's innocent.

I'm fairly certain they all think the same of me, too. And I'm not saying A_QB is definitely wrong. I'm saying he is talking out of his ass, which he has a long history of doing while accusing players on teams he doesn't like of using illegal performance enhancing drugs.
