Don't quite know how Scott Fletcher can get onto any list where Garry Templeton is not mentioned.

It should also be noted that Rafael Belliard's defense kept him in the majors for 16 seasons with 508 career hits. Try that at home.

Rafael Belliard: That name brings back a ton of memories.

Saw part of that game, including the inning where Oakland 1B Brandon Moss committed three errors. Yes, all in the same inning (and two on one play).

And as a broadcaster ... well, let's just say Eric Byrnes rides a mean bicycle through the clubhouse.

Probably explains why Byrnes is a hit on radio. And, of course, the A's big rally late probably explains why I'm on SportsJournalists.com.

Alan Trammell probably deserved some mention over Fletcher as well.

I'm going to assume that Omar Viszquel is an oversight.

Anybody else want to start an All-Purpose Running Jetes Is Better At Everything Than Everybody Evah Thread? You know, just to keep feng shui of this one in balance?

I checked Vizquel, but he only had about 15 years as an "elite" shortstop. He was a God-awful hitter early in his career, and he didn't win his first Gold Glove til age 26.

Gehrig, Omar Vizquel has to be in the top 10. I'm not sure how I feel about Wagner being so high, being that he played a third of his career at other positions.

I also think Travis Jackson should be there.

The White Sox are wearing their early 70s throwbacks. I love those uniforms.

They should have brought back smokin' Dick Allen for the occasion:
