Given the inclination of this board, I'm guessing it's either Jeter, Trout or a Nat. My guess is Clippard.

A very good guess. 12 saves, 10 holds for Mr. Clippard.

Word has it that he will hold the closer's job, at least for now, even when Storen returns in the next couple of weeks.

If one does not want to use WAR, and just use observation or their grandpappy's journals, or their gut to evaluate players, fine. I am okay with that. As long as people don't complain about the lack of WARs context and subjectivity, but then use HR, RBI, W-L, BA to evaluate players, I will talk with them all day long.

Clippard's numbers since he became closer have been absurd. He's having a better year than last year, when he was an All-Star.
But nobody wants to talk about the Nationals

He's one player I wish the Yankees never would have traded away ...

    Yeah ...

The guy they traded for is now with Arizona, and sports a 9.00 ERA.

Trevor Bauer becomes the first 2011 draftee to appear in the majors.

Like him already. He starts every inning warmup with a long-toss type of air-it-out throw, hard as he can. They say he throws nine pitches.

Saw him pitch in Mobile earlier this year. He's fun to watch.
