Trout and Trumbo were both drafted by Eddie Bane, whom the Angels fired last offseason.
It was an interesting stereotype about Trout. Yes, he was from New Jersey and ballplayers don't come from New Jersey. Bane even said he felt like he was wasting time. He said it took him 3 days to check him out, including travel. He said if he stayed in California he could have checked out 10 guys in those same three days.

A six on a base-10 is much larger in value than a six on a base-72. The distance between the intergers on a base-72 would be much, much smaller, so you reach six in a much shorter distance (if you were looking at it on a number line).

I was told there would be no math.

I think we are looking at it differently. I would use extra numbers for more finite measuring.

Baseball is math - to a point.

Considering he's given up 13 runs in his last two games, the Tigers are making this pitcher (Richards) look like Cy Young.

And they've conceded now. Fielder and Cabrera are out of the game.

ESPN (or maybe I read it elsewhere ...) had a piece up the other day about the Yankees wanting to draft Trout. They had scouted him and everything, and were all set to make him the 29th pick that year. But the Halos snagged him a few picks before that.
