The thing is, that's the only way he knows how to play. He gives 100% effort every time he's on that diamond. That said, you do make a valid point about being early in the game, and the Jays were down already.

He's young, unlike us ;D. He'll heal quickly. Just being optimistic, even though the season is pretty much down the drain already, IMO.

That picture doesn't give his fall justice. It was a mean bump.

KC, Pittsburgh, Arizona, Baltimore, Cincinnati and Florida pick up free first-round picks in today's Competitive Balance draft.

Oh, I know, he fell a long way. Looked like he was either going to cry or puke - or both - when he got up.

I agree, he always plays that way and you wonder if now the Jays brass will try and tone down his aggressiveness, whether it is running into bad outs on the bases or sacrificing his body chasing fouls.

Giants put C Hector Sanchez on DL with knee sprain, call up Eli Whiteside from Fresno. But until Whiteside arrives, the Giants' backup for Posey is ... Pablo Sandoval.

Dewayne Wise would have smiled and made sure the out was called even after he didn't catch it.

Free beer for the first person who posts a picture of modern Pablo in a full squat.

  11. You play with less effort in a game that you are trailing in? Hell, that's when you need to do it the most. I've seen way too many players tank and go through the motions after falling behind 5-0.
