Two straight come from behind wins in Colorado.

Watching Dodgers-Phils today, the guy working the left field line at Dodger Stadium looked like he was about 33 years old and hung over. He missed a couple balls, including one that went between his legs and kicked off a rail back into left field, and generally looked like a sad birthday clown in his baseball uniform. So maybe it's an NL West thing.

2 3-run homers in as many at bats for Cody Ross tonight.

Apparently getting beat 13-0 gets your blood angry.

Tigers tag CJ Wilson with seven runs, and lead 7-1 in the 7th. (Hi MileHigh :D ).

Maybe the Rockies tell them to do that for liability reasons?

  12. Colorado is a hot mess right now. That being said, there is a maturity with this team that they haven't had in a long, long time. It started developing last season but obviously wasn't there enough for them, given the late-season collapse.

The talk that Rod Barajas had with James Mcdonald in between innings yesterday goes a long way in showing that. McDonald was scuffling, hard, and you could see Barajas talking with him, a rather one-sided conversation eventually, and Macdonald settled down after that. They got the three run homer from Jones almost immediately after that and Barajas, in fact, participated in the comeback with a homer of his own. Words AND actions.

They have talent on this team but, almost as important, they have leaders. Last season I was waiting for the bottom to drop out, and it did. I started off this season that way as well, but with the circumstances they find themselves in within the division, I really believe this team can be playoff bound. Aftre that, well, I'm not as confident.
