Four-game attendance total in Oakland: 106,142. Only one game over 30K. Beautiful weather, Giants were out of town, no other competing events in the region. Not good.

Yankees came into Oakland pretty hot. They got good starting pitching, and they still got swept.

    Damn.

That's a question for Mr. Miguel Cabrera.

Just the way A's management likes it, I fear, since we all know the land of milk and honey is in San Jose.

Hall of Fame inductions today and couldn't get to Monday before all the stories about the cluster that will be 2013 and beyond will bring.

Of course it makes sense at the induction of two players who shouldn't have had to wait until 2012 anyway.

Oakland doesn't sell the top deck, so the capacity is something like 34,000.

Right. And even against this artificially low "capacity," the A's only filled 75 percent of the seats for their biggest series of the year against the opponent that has always been their best draw. What's your point?

Based on how they hit the Nationals' lefties this weekend, I'm surprised the Braves aren't shopping for a right-handed bat.

Well, Lannan is a journeyman. Detwiler would actually be a #3 on a lot of staffs, I believe.
