That seems like a stretch of BYHian proportions to blame the slump on Scioscia.

Until the start of August, Frieri was nails. But he does you no good if you can't get the lead to him.

Scioscia is under contract through 2018. Not even Arte Moreno wants to eat that.

I frankly hate it when the G's pinch run for Posey late and there is a gaping hole in extra innings.

Jetes is now 3rd in the league in batting average.

    1) Mike Trout .330
    2) Miguel Cabrera .325
    3) Derek Jeter .320

This might finally be the year that he adds a batting title (and likely an MVP trophy) to his long list of accomplishments. I believe that Trout will wear down over the final weeks of the season and it will come down to Cabrera and Jeter dueling for the title. Obviously I believe Jeter has the edge.

You all are witnessing possibly a career season by one of the games 10 greatest players ever.

Does anyone else think it's too early in Trout's career to put him in the Top 10 all-time?

Well, that's one way to get Derek Jeter closer to a batting title -- erroneously take 10 points off the guy leading the league. Trout was batting .340 going into tonight's game, and he's got a couple of hits to bump it up to .342.

As I said, Trout will not be able to sustain his batting average.

i was thinking wasn't Trout like .350 2 weeks ago. I like Jetes a lot, probably even half as much as Manky, but the Mickey Mantle of Millville is a phenom.

Nats discovering the joy of AT&T Park -- they've hit at least three balls tonight that are home runs anywhere else in the league. Here it's warning track power.

    Bring on the NLCS!

Further proving you are an idiot.

Well, he's already better than Jeter ever was and it's not even close.
