Worse, for an organization that (I thought) was trying to put the whole Bonds fiasco behind it, now that's two players on the suspended list. Anyone remember Guillermo Mota?

If only Melky lived in a backwater like Milwaukee where the FedEx office would be closed.

So I guess this makes Melky the Cleveland State of Major League Baseball?

This. This. One thousand times this.

Although the Braves did make the postseason in 2010, albeit with no help from Melky. They lost to the Giants.

Correct, Steak. I meant he was still sulking during the stretch run, when the Braves were fighting for a spot. But he was worthless that whole year.

AP story lede says Melky "tested positive for testosterone."

Yeah, him and roughly half the world's population ...

This was apparently known around the team for quite some time. From the Mercury News blog:

    http://blogs.mercurynews.com/giants/2012/08/15/breaking-melky-cabrera-suspended-50-games-will-miss-rest-of-regular-season/

Approached by CSN Bay Area shortly after the All-Star break, Cabrera forcefully denied rumors that he had failed a test. Team leaders denied the rumors as well.

Not much happening in Seattle ... especially by the Tampa offense.

Felix just struck out the side in the sixth. 18 up, 18 down.
