Rick Sutcliffe going just a tad too far? He wants Melky Cabrera to be deported and banned from working in the United States forever.

Before the A's game, they were huddled around the TV watching their NorCal boys, Petaluma, in the LLWS. Jonny Gomes is from Petaluma and has pitched in to cover some of the travel costs. When the kid hit the walk-off HR in extras, the A's clubhouse went nuts -- and Gomes got a pregame pie in the face.

Love the part where he says, "I didn't say any swear words."

Um, yeah you did. And it's all on tape.

That said, Perez should have thought of a quick and snappy comeback, like Fred Talbot's "Nice teeth ya got there."

I was at the A's game Sunday and they had a fan response for something like "Which highlight to you want to see?"
    A -- Rangers-Blue Jays
    B -- Yankees-Red Sox
C -- Little League World Series

The applause response was overwhelming for C -- Little League World Series.
The highlight video came on and it was the Southeast team hitting a two-run triple and a two-run homer to beat the local Petaluma, Calilf., team. Fans weren't cheering so much then.

Via MLBTR, Swisher floating a little trial balloon about wanting $100M.
    Good luck with that.

Ricky Romero looking like Ricky Vaughn at Comerica thus far. Has walked five and has the bases loaded with no outs in the second inning. Lucky so far it's just 1-0.

He walked another with the bases loaded to make it 2-0, and then Miguel Cabrera grounded out in a douple play to make it 3-0.

Ricky needs to find his command, which is an understatement.

Bases loaded, no one out, and the Tigers top two hitters shut down the inning.

About a month or so ago, the Tigers were hitting .100 with the bases loaded.

Whoever, I forget who, was counting off the people better than Strasburg the other day.

I will now give Verlander and Hernandez. And nobody else.

Romero walks a season-high 8. Blue Jays staff walks nine.

And yet the Jays are still in this game, trailing just 5-3, heading into the bottom of the eighth.

Tigers have been out hit 9-7 and are about 1-for-1000 in RISP (ok, really, 1-for-12).
