Abe "Knuckleball" Schwartz flamed out before he could get to the bigs.

Very nice. He always did play with a bit of arrogance.

Yes. Cut-off is 130 at-bats. Frazier had 112 last year.

Mike Trout cut it even closer last year. He had 130 ABs.

There's also a 45-day service time cut-off (before September roster expansion). I think Frazier had like 41 before September last year (one day in May and then July 23 to the end of August).

Heard he eventually latched on with the Boston Crabs.

Well played, did he wear a button on his jersey that said, "Yes, I am a model"?

And light it up for the sweep. Wow, what a game.

    LAA 008 000 103 2 -- 14 20 1
    BOS 150 012 021 1 -- 13 18 2

Angels' ninth was crazy, with a home run to git to 11-10. Then Trout hits a bloom to right that gets misplayed and he's hustling all the way and gets to second. Hunter lines a single to left. Trout gets sent home and slides in under the tag. Then, of course, the bullpen blows it to get it to the 10th.

More than 4 1/2 hours and 412 pitches. That's what Tim McClelland gets for his slow strike calls.

It's the largest comeback win for the Angels at Fenway since trailing 9-3 and winning 16-9 -- in April 1966. Still doesn't make up the debacle of the 1986 ALCS.

Q: How many games have the Angels won this season when trailing going into the seventh?
    A: Tonight was the second.

That's a big comeback and sweep. Another big series this weekend in Detroit for the wild-card chase, but once again, lack of starting pitching and a taxed bullpen could take their toll.
