    B. Brian Blair and Jumpin' Jim Brunzell managed to wriggle out of a steroid rap. MLB had them dead to rights, then they went into the bowels of the stadium, ran around for a while and switched samples with each other. The doping police couldn't figure out whose sample was whose, and let both of them slide.

That's one way to mask the samples.

Dodgers put in a waiver claim for Adrian Gonzalez, and indications are the Red Sox might actually let him go ... :

Makes you wonder if the Sox are pissed off about his issues with Bobby V.

Granted, Gonzalez's numbers are down from when he was in San Diego, but I think they're nuts if they're choosing Bobby V over him. Therefore, I hope they send him to LaLaLand.

Adrian Gonzalez's power numbers are way down this year, sure. But last season might have been his best. This seems insane, as though someone is leaking things to Gordon Edes to stir up some drama and maybe let Gonzalez know he needs to get his act in order.

Or they're doing what the Jazz did last season, trading Deron Williams and firing Jerry Sloan rather than keeping one.

I really don't see that happening. The actual report is just one unnamed executive saying "I think something might be happening" or whatever.
