Saw on Twitter the Dodgers did same for Josh Beckett.

TAKE IT ALL, BITCH! And toss in Carl Crawford.

Funny you should ask... an updated Gordon Edes tweet has LA getting Beckett, AGon, Crawford, AND...

    (DRUM ROLL)

Nick Punto. Paging IJAG to the thread, stat! Paging IJAG...

As a Dodgers fan, I get Gonzalez, I kinda sorta get Beckett. But I don't understand Crawford (with the elbow surgery) and Punto.

Josh Beckett's way less useful than Carl Crawford.

Trade Punto to IJAG, she'll find a use for him.

She hasn't seen my criticism of him yet. Waiting for the hounds to be released. :)

    Full deal apparently here:

Prospect Allen Webster apparently also in the deal.

Did Boston also trade its right to any future Tea Party re-enactments?

Has there ever been a cycle and a no-hitter in the same game?

The Jeter for MVP campaign is picking up steam:

I believe he will win it. The vote will come down to Jetes, Trout, and Cabrera.

The Tigers are only 50-50 to enter the playoffs, and Cabrera will lose votes because of his poor defensive stats.

The Angels are a 3rd place team and Trout is already beginning to fade. Even if he hangs in there the writers will not snub Jeter by choosing a rookie player over him.

This will be the year they start to make up for not awarding Jeter the MVP in 1999, 2006, and 2009.
