He didn't go in their dugout. Ump said he would have been tossed if he had.

Another Fox Sports fail: In the intro for the Giants-Dodgers, Vasergian talks about a "catch for the ages" as part of the rivalry, and I look up and they're showing the Willie Mays catch from the 1954 Series.

We had a junior college pitcher around here who died from a brain injury last season or the year before. He wasn't hit, just had either an aneurysm or a stroke. He warmed up, was on the mound and threw a few pitches. Then he called out his catcher and told him he wasn't feeling well. A few minutes later he collapsed, was rushed to the hospital and never woke up.
Those things are scary, both in their suddenness and their stealth.

That list is to show that he isn't way off pace. I don't think he will end up anywhere close to the record, but you never know.

That happened to a friend of mine during our senior year in high school.

Said he had a really bad migraine, so he went home at some point during the day. We learned at one point during practice that he had been taken to a hospital in Louisville after he had passed out. He had an aneurysm and never woke up.

Every time I watch the Orioles, they hit a home run. Some of you can start paying me to watch them.

I'll consider it if you only watch Mark Reynolds' at-bats. My fantasy baseball team can use all the help it can get. :)

    AL batting race update:

Jeter is now batting .322, just 8 points behind Miguel Cabrera. Trout has slipped to 2nd. At the rate he's going finishing in the top 10 is doubtful. He had a good run.

Making me enjoy the Yankees fade even more. And pull harder for Trout than ever before.
Maybe you and Jetes can watch the playoffs together?

Fading? They have the best record in the toughest division in baseball. Everyone knew it would be a fight, but this team is too talented to be sitting at home in October.

    Let's go O's.

Didn't the Yankees have some massive lead not all that long ago?

I don't care what their lead was on August 1st. All that matters is where they finish the season. The 2000 Yankees team only went 87-75 and won the World Series. They are still the team to beat.
