It is insanity that anyone can possibly believe Braun was framed.

He got off on a procedurial error, as he should of.

No one "knows" what was in his piss. Everyone thinks they know. But they don't. (Myself included)

And let it not be forgotten that the only reason Braun gets tried in the court of public opinion to begin with is that his confidential test was leaked.

And let it also not be forgotten that circumstantial evidence since then points to that test being the aberration, not his performance on the field.

And besides all of that, it doesn't change my original point.

He could have been mainlining steroids, HGH, Ivan Drago's magic sauce from Rocky IV and Popeye's spinach spiked with testosterone in 2011.

If he's clean in 2012, and there's no evidence to suggest he isn't, he should be considered for MVP just like anyone else.

And I'm painfully aware as to why he won't be ... which is why I'm calling bullshit on it.

I wouldn't agree with it, but I'd at least respect the honesty in someone saying, "I won't consider Braun because I think he juiced and I want to hold it against him." The key word being "think".

I don't have any respect for those who say they "know" he juiced.

Truth is, you don't know squat. And neither do I.

In a Khan-from-Star Trek II-for-hate's-sake-with-my-last-breath-I-spit-at-thee way, I totally respect this too.

So in that spirit, respectfully, fuck off! :D

None of which explains how synthetic testosterone wound up in a sealed sample that the lab certified had not been tampered with when it received it. Unless WADA engaged in a massive campaign to frame the guy there's only one way synthetic anything can wind up in a sealed sample.

I'm sure OOP will be along shortly but the fact remains, Braun failed that test and skated on a technicality. There is zero evidence that Ryan Braun's urine magically synthesized artificial testoserone after he peed in that cup.

Or there were more flaws in the process than the one that became public. That's Bubbler's point. You don't know near as much about what happened as you claim to. But it is no surprise to see you expressing such certainty regardless of the situation. You've been making accusations about steroid abuse that you can't back up on this site for years.

    Let's say it's all true.

What does it have to do with his being in the 2012 MVP race?

I think it's interesting (and a sign of progress) that playoff races seem to be almost ignored in discussing this year's MVP races. Ryan Braun isn't getting shafted because of his team's record. Andrew McCutcheon still may be the NL favorite, even as his team founders. Miguel Cabrera and Mike Trout have more hype than any other AL candidates, and neither would make the playoffs based on the current standings.

I can live with Braun being ruled out because of the Brewers' record. That's perfectly reasonable.

And I can live with someone admitting they want to "get back" at Braun for allegedly juicing. At least it's honest.

I can't abide those who say they know he juiced, because they don't.

If the season ended today, my MVP vote would go to:

    1. Trout
    2. Cabrera
    3. Cano

    1. Posey
    2. McCutchen
    3. Braun

Did I tell you I can't abide those who say they know he juiced because they don't?

Learn to live with grating. :D

I love when you agree with me on baseball things, be it MVP or greatest ever.

Eat shit and die, Tom Petty. ;D
