MLB will not allow Melky Cabrera to be declared NL batting champion:

Interesting. Melky asked to be removed from consideration.

And Posey is only four points behind McCutchen.

Actually, Melky won't allow Melky to be declared batting champion.

What's amazing is that at the AS break, Posey was sitting just around .300 and now he's at .335. Very rare to see someone's average go UP 35 points after the break.

I am amazed that Melky would do that, but its definitely the right move. I guess now everyone awaits Bonds' move??? Don't hold your breath.

Has Cabrera even given a mea culpa to his former teammates?

OK, somebody please help me. I must have stared at this picture of Joe Mauer for 3 solid minutes trying to figure out why the back of his neck seems bronze when the rest of him is so white.

    Seriously?

Because he's a catcher and that's the part of his body that's in the sun all day.

    Seriously?

The Twins have played maybe 20 day games this season. Try again.

Yeah, but the sun is out for about the first hour of EVERY game. Plus, he's been a regular to full-time catcher since he was probably 12.

So this thread has devolved into discussing a last place team's catcher/shampoo spokesman's skintone?

Fine. Giving Josh Hamilton another MVP would make kids become drug addicts to get good at baseball.

    Happy now?
