I love Tropicana Field weird home runs.

Mauer goes 1-for-5, dropping to .322.

Cabrera 2-for-3, up to .327. Also has a HR to break the tie with Hamilton. Game is in sixth, so he has at least one more at bat tonight.

Holy crap, Rodney is just straight fucking filthy. That's why I'm so glad the O's had a four-game lead on Tampa heading into this series.

Yeah, LaRussa really showed how it's done with his expert manipulations of his bullpen in Game 5. And Game 6? Don't get me started. Arranging to have lefty specialist Darren Oliver not get an out against two weak-hitting left-handers when the Cardinals were out of bench players and trailing by two runs? Genius, pure genius. Washington could never hope to match that.

On behalf of them, thanks. Been a fun season here. Would rather have seen them clinch with a win, but they won this over the season and not tonight.

Martin Perez is melting down again. He's very fortunate to only give up 2 runs in the first.

I have no idea what this will mean long-term, but of all the teams in the MLB playoff race, nobody's played worse than Texas lately.

Just be sure you leave the avatar alone. You've ridden the General this far all season.

Probably means they'll lose the next three, win the tiebreaker with Oakland then win the whole thing.

And the Angels will be left out because of an absolutely shitty April and first half of May.

They were 62-60 and I thought at the time they needed to go 30-10 to get in. If they sweep Seattle, it'll be 29-11 and they're not going to get in -- much to the relief of the rest of the AL.

An Angels-Cardinals World Series would be off the charts fun.

    Sigh.

Still waiting for Trout to fade ... 4-for-4 with 3 RBI's so far tonight.
