Again, though, each player's finish should matter. Cabrera has been phenomenally better in August and September.

If you listen to the Jays TV guys this year Vizquel shouldn't even have to wait five years to get in on the first ballot.

I disagree, but I can see that logic.

That is far different than the playoff copout.

    I know, it's pathetic.

Cabrera is MVP because the Royals, Indians and Twins suck!

Cubs and Astros meet tonight in the first matchup of teams with 100 losses since 1962.

Ouch. Neither of them have a shot at 120, right? How these two franchises have fallen.

Meh. Neither has won a championship in even Gehrig's lifetime.

Blue font, right? He won the 2006 and 2007 NCAA titles and also played in the 2005 CWS after winning the Pac-10 title.

Just checked Miami's lineup from the 2006 CWS (finished 1-2): Jamelle Weeks, Danny Valencia, Yonder Alonzo, Chris Perez ... pretty decent talent.

You jinxed your NL West road achievement, BTW.

I did. Don't worry, Epstein is already hinting at tanking next year too, so there will be more opportunities for epic feats of failure.
