Cook has pitched five days in a row without giving up a run.

    Onions.

If the Orioles win tonight, yet are in the Wild Card for one reason or the other, they will host it on Friday night. But they have to win tonight. If the O's lose tonight, they hit the road.

If the O's win tonight, the Yankees lose tonight, and then the O's beat them in 163 tomorrow, then the Yanks would host Texas. Or, if some amazing comeback happens, go TO Oakland.

But at this rate, the only way Texas will host the wild card game is if the Orioles LOSE tonight.

Count me in on the Athletics' bandwagon.

Does anyone remember that time when the A's were losing this game? I have a vague recollection.

Seven-run lead and here comes Balfour. Just because he wants to shove it up their ass the third day in a row.

    Love it.

Just FYI, Randy Galloway on his radio show declared the AL West race over about three weeks ago, when the A's had closed to four or five behind. Said the A's were no threat and now that the Angels were out of it, the Rangers had it in the bag.

Great team, eyes of the nation watching, packed and frenzied ballpark ... Lew Wolff must hate this. It's ruining his case.

I don't think I've seen a team collapse so vividly in one game since the Giants in the last game of the 1993 season against the Dodgers. Good night, Salomon Torres, wherever you are.
