I didn't get a chance to see it. Sounded like train-wreck kind of stuff.

So WTF? I went to Nats Park today, to work - honest. Had to see Teddy win and all. Wanted to talk to a couple of writers. Glanced at a TV and it was 5-1 Texas.

Got home, changed, ran Ella and came in and turned on the TV to see Oakland running out of its dugout to celebrate.

    Damn.

Lots of great stories in the playoffs this year, most notably the As, Os and Nats. Or Ns to keep things symmetrical.

Do you have to bring up 1993? The choice was either Saloman Torres or Scott Sanderson (king of the 5 inn start). That Friday night, Bonds had one of his best games ever, 7 RBIs I believe to keep the Giants in 1st place.

One other thing to remember about the A's is that their best pitcher, Brett Anderson, is pulling a reverse Strasburg. He has missed most of the season and went down with an oblique strain a couple weeks ago, but he threw earlier this week and said he would be ready for the wil card game if needed.

If I was Ron Washington I would be doing lines of coke off of a flight attendant's thigh on the flight home leave Ryan Dempster off the playoff roster.

And someone a while back was wondering what I had to be nervous about as a Rangers fan.

Saw this shit coming a mile away.

Congrats to the A's fans on here.

Giants did same to Dodgers in 1991.

    And 1982.

    And 1962.

Dodgers did same to Giants in 2001.

Greatest rivalry in the NL, since both teams break each other's seasons. Cubs don't get to hurt Cardinals.

When you get down to it, Giants did it to Dodgers last night too.
