Where does Pujols rank among the all time free agent busts?

I know it's early but he's digging himself a huge hole.

Nine straight outs and there's not a separate thread?

Jetes is two months away from his 38th birthday, and has 3,118 hits. Pete Rose at the same age had 3,104 hits.

    The magic number is 1,039.

    This.

You'll win the division by 10 games and try to defend your World Series championship. But the Cubs fans get tonight.

    Another Rose-Jeter comparison:

When Pete Rose was 37 he had a 44 game hit streak (1978).

Jeter is also 37 and riding a 13 game hit streak. I know it's a longshot. But if you're living in the DC area, you might want to look into getting tickets for the Nationals-Yankees series June 15-17. You might get to witness history.

This is the ninth consecutive season in which the Royals have lost at least six games in a row by May 14.

And HOW many rungs down on the ladder is Chicago from St. Louis? (winks)

All kidding aside, good for the Cubs. They've had a horrid start. Jason Motte, though... DAMN, is that guy a frustrating pitcher! lol
