Jesus. What a throw by Harper. That was thrown almost as hard as his double was hit.

    RIP Albert Pujols

Great hitters do not hit .224 with 0 HRs and 4 RBI for the first month of the season.

Why did Harper flip off his helmet on his double? Just to show off the locks?

    Works if your Vin Scully.

(Yes, I know not to feed the troll. But even though I'm a Giants fanboi, this is Vinne, dammit!)

Jeter is the exception to the rule :)

Pujols: I don't get how "adjusting to AL pitching" explains his slump (I've heard that offered as an explanation for his slow start). He had never faced NL pitching in 2001 and it didn't faze him.

His batting average has fallen from .357 to .328 to .312 to .299 and now .224.

There is a lot of skill redundancy in this lineup. You want them to manufacture runs when they're not necessarily built to do that.

Wells and Abreu are basically the same player at this point, only one is left-handed.

OK, I'll say it: Manky is funny, in a performance art, in-on-the-joke kinda way. Not so for the other guy.

And I wish I was 1/10th as good at something as Matt Kemp is at baseball. Goddamn.

Don't sell yourself short. You're at least 11 or 12 percent in your hatred of Jim Larranaga, Jay Horwitz or Joe Girardi. Only 9 percent on Mike Scioscia, though.

He'd make a good copy editor at the Denver Post. Oh, wait... <crossthread>

Wells still has a little pop. Abreu doesn't even have that. Wells is bad, but Abreu is even worse.
