Walk with two outs in the fifth. Oh, well.

How do we know he hasn't "roided" his entire career? How do we know he didn't take it up last year, when he suddenly regained his strength after struggling to get the ball out of the infield the first half of the season?

A call actually going against the Yankees?
Seriously, they never should have gotten the first two runs because Detroit should have been out of that inning

Pedroia singles with one out in the seventh to break up a potential no-hitter for Gavin Floyd, though he was already closing in on 100 pitches, so it would have been tough for him to get there. Bounced back nicely, too. Adrian Gonzalez was the next hitter and Floyd struck him out.

Wells was historically bad last year. His .248 OBP was the lowest by an outfielder with 300-plus plate appearances in over a century. I don't need to rely on someone who watches him every day to know how deeply he sucks. He is the one who should have been waived.

Including today, the Halos have not scored in four consecutive Ervin Santana starts.

Jeff Mathis, the worst hitter in baaseball as an angel, changes his stance w new batting coach in Toronto and had another homer today and 1.300 OPS.
Another failed Mickey Hatcher project. Hatcher should have been fired years ago and the manager should be fired now.

OK, even I'm not going to pile on to the Angels here. Jeff Mathis got off to fast starts most of the time in L.A. too before regressing to his hideous, ghastly mean. History will repeat itself, very soon.

In the 22nd game of the season, backup Joe Mather becomes the first Cubs outfielder to hit a home run.

Do you really think it would be possible for Jeter to have roided the last 16 years and not get caught or even rumored about? If he had roided, the feds would have gone after him like they did Bonds and Lance Armstrong.

Look at pictures of Jeter. He is the same body type now as when he was a 21 year old rookie. His second half surge last year was not due to adding muscle it was a mechanical adjustment in his swing.

Further, do you think Jeter would be able to get the quality and quantity of women he has enjoyed if he had backne?

Have you seen them yet this year? I'm going on reports from this year. Abreu's bat speed is completely gone. Wells sucks, but he can still hit the occasional home run.

You can't tell about steroids just by looking at somebody. I keep going back to the example of Alex Sanchez, who was a skinny little guy his entire career.

But sudden surges in performance, especially in an aging player? Hmmmmm
