    I'd say he is better than Derek Jeter, but apparently that is a controversial point of view.

    Seriously, what he and Hamilton are doing so far is pretty amazing. Unfortunately, Hamilton is dealing with stiffness in his back. Sounds minor, but it always seems to be the injuries that slow him down.

    Some credit for Kemp's play has to go to Don Mattingly, right? Kemp regressed badly under Joe Torre, but the managerial change sure seemed to be what finally got him to put all the pieces together.

    I'm curious if the HR Kemp hit on Saturday has come down yet? Gorzelanny vs. Kemp in a clutch situation ought to be illegal. A knife to a gunfight? The Nats brought a used toothpick to a gunfight there

    Yu Darvish starts for the Rangers tonight against the Blue Jays. Game is on ESPN (7:10 p.m. EDT).

    Another guy to watch in that one: Edwin Encarnacion, who's belted home runs in three straight games. Hitting .310 with 7 HRs and 20 RBI for the Blue Jays so far.
