They didn't do it to save time. They did it because it was cool.

No. I like the Funk, but that was stupid.

I do agree that live music has worked well in the past, but only when it was already relevant to the wrestler's current entrance song.

For example, Here's Triple H at WrestleMania 17.

Apparantly the dude forgot his lyrics, but whatever.

Or, Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 14:

Hey, don't blame Cyndi Lauper for this one. She, at least, didn't sing at the show, and was semi-involved in a match.

This music crap is just unnecessary filler. I even get some of the video packages and skits because they don't want to waste the couple of minutes in between matches watching one guy wobble back to the locker room and the referee come out. But like I said earlier, if I wanted to watch a singer, I'd watch American Idol or a concert. I want to watch wrestling.

One thing they should do, which they used to do in the old days, is have some promos. Get wrestler's reactions before their match, and after them. People still remember Flair's promos after winning the belt at the Rumble and after losing the strap at WM8.

Yes, exactly. I understand there is a need to fill time to setup the ring and entrances and what not between matches. A better way to get guys over is live or pre-recorded video packages, and not just re-hashes of the feud that we've been following along on TV anyway.

You're not as much of a smark as I thought you were.

The whole time they were playing up the "Daniel Bryan is lucky" bit. It's what they basically built the feud around. Now, Bryan has a way back into getting a title match with Sheamus, aside from the rematch clause.

Sheamus really "got lucky" sneak attacking Bryan the way he did. Think about it. I know you can.

Alberto Del Rio's apperance on Raw really tends to make me believe they had no serious plans for Bryan after 'Mania. I love Del Rio, but Jesus, the man needs to learn how to improvise. He is great at his schtick, but the crowd was sitting their shitting on the entire segment and he's acting like nothing is going on.

Oh I'm sure they had something in line for Bryan, but the way the crowd reacted to him might have thrown a monkey in the wrench.

I'm surprised they put Del Rio right into the hunt when Cody Rhodes was sitting there primed for a title feud with Sheamus. However they might wait til king of the Ring or Summerslam for that one and let a long simmer boil over into a title run.

I think with the way the booking has been lately, that's probably giving them too much credit. They idle and simmer far too much, to the point where guys lose their heat.

Cody Rhodes will likely be feuding with Khali over who the real "Playboy" of the WWE is by the time Summerslam rolls around.

  11. So I guess we are to assume that Jericho is sticking around for awhile and he and Punk are just getting started?

  12. Sigh. This is sad but true.
