I seem to remember Johnny Ace telling someone last week or the week before last that this could be their last match on Raw. So maybe the draft is upcoming and they just haven't told us.

Is it sad that I saw this picture of Sheamus from last night and immediately thought of one of SportsJournalists.com's most beloved long-running jokes?

Was that really setting the stage for Trips-Lesnar, or just trying to make Lesnar look even more like an unstoppable psychopath with the bad attitude of a spoiled 5-year old?

Any chance it could be both?

Thought we saw it with Jericho-Show. I think the ref screwed that one up. Jericho was clearly in the ring ahead of the 10-count, which hit right at the 4:18 mark.
Wouldn't surprise me if Jericho finagles his way into the title match based on that.

    Absolutely.
I think Trips still has a few matches left in him. He'll probably get in the ring once or twice a year for a big Mania or Summerslam feud, and Lesnar certainly fits that description.
However, it wouldn't surprise me if Trips never wrestles again, either. The build-up to his last match with Taker was built around the fact he had nothing left to prove. The match itself told the story that he had given all he could give and knew it. The whole "end of an era" theme also played toward that angle. If that's the case, the role he played tonight was perfect. Having Lesnar destroy him like that elevates Lesnar to another level of monster heel.

I think the ref was at 9 when Jericho got back in the ring, and hit 10 after the buzzer sounded. But if the dirt sheets I've read are to be believed, the Jericho-Punk feud is going to continue.

So the tag belts switch from a team of Puerto Ricans to a team of two randomly paired black guys.
In the WWE, that's called a diversity program.

Khali and Kane in a beat the clock challenge that's obviously going to last longer than 4 minutes-plus?
God help us all. It takes Khali almost that long to order a hamburger at McDonald's.

Did Khali always suck this hard? I wasn't watching WWE at the time, but how the hell did this guy get a decently long run as an uppercard guy?
