I think he plays the character he's been given extremely well.

Christian wins the battle royal. He'll face Santino, I'm sure.

Just because you play something well doesn't mean you're going to be successful.

Next up is Kingston and R-Truth vs. Swagger and Ziggler for the tag belts. Truth and Kingston retain. I think Swagger and Ziggler would make good tag champs, but most of the teams right now are heels.

The total awesomeness of this aside, this happened before Nitro was created.

Dusty Rhodes told a funny story about this on one of those WWE 24/7 roundtables. He said Ottman was well-liked by everyone, and a lot of the industry called him Uncle Fred, for some reason.

Dusty told a young Cody that the week's show was going to have something special, so Cody and a few friends gathered around the TV and watched. Shockmaster does his stumble and loses his helmet, and muddles around. His friends start laughing, and Cody sits there stunned. Then he looks to his friends and yells, "I think that was Uncle Fred!"

You know what I never got about this? Wrestling wasn't shown live on TV back then. They could have just re-shot this. They could have never shown it. But no, they showed it, mask coming off and all. This is the company (WCW early 90s) that would film wrestlers with belts before they won them, so it really wasn't like they were afraid of a little creative editing.

It was on a live Clash of the Champions show.

Pay no attention to Ole Anderson behind the screen.

They couldn't have re-shot it. His debut was during a live Clash of the Champions on TBS. I thought that was the case and looked it up. I was right.
